Prove it first, pay later
Vaikon proposed a no-cure no-pay test on a live pump. Three months of continuous operation in abrasive metal slurry, with a joint inspection at the end. No result, no invoice.
Wear parts that fit what you already have
The Schegler volute liner and impeller were installed directly into an existing Warman 4/3 C-AH pump, without replacing the pump itself. Dimensional compatibility means switching supplier does not mean replacing infrastructure.

Challenge
At a metal slag recycling plant in Belgium, slag from a neighbouring steel producer is processed to recover the metal it still contains. That metal goes back to the steel plant as input material, while the mineral fractions are turned into aggregates for construction and road building. The separation runs wet, and stainless-steel slag is dense and sharp-edged, which makes the
slurry carrying it one of the most abrasive process fluids in the recycling industry.
In a process like this, wear parts on slurry pumps need replacing regularly. That is not exceptional, but it does mean that the plant depends on a supplier who can deliver quality parts quickly and consistently. Long waiting times or undersized parts translate directly into unplanned downtime.
The plant was looking for a partner that could prove its value before committing. Vaikon proposed a no-cure no-pay test: install Schegler wear parts, run them for three months, and inspect them together.
Solution
Vaikon installed a Schegler volute liner and impeller into the customer's existing Warman* 4/3 C-AH pump. No new pump and no major intervention. The Schegler parts fit the existing installation directly, thanks to dimensional compatibility with the Warman platform.
The pump ran for three months under normal operating conditions. After that period, Vaikon and the customer opened the pump together for a visual inspection of the wear pattern. The agreement was simple: if the customer was not satisfied with the quality, they paid nothing.
Throughout the test, Vaikon stayed close. Short lines, fast response, and a team that looks at the full picture rather than just the part being replaced. That approach, combining technical knowledge of the process with a large local stock and quick

Result
After three months of continuous operation, the wear pattern on the Schegler volute liner and impeller was fully within expectations. The customer validated the quality and confirmed the result. That inspection was the start of an ongoing partnership.
