Fully customized submersible pump system
Engineered a tailor‑made solution based on the MML200‑3700‑S4, upgraded for deep foundation works.
Reliable operation at 60‑meter depth
Enhanced with a 10 bar(g) double mechanical seal and a 60‑meter power cable for safe, high‑pressure performance.
Mobile control cabinet with frequency drive
A robust, mobile electrical cabinet providing precise speed and performance control across multiple project sites.
Challenge
Our customer is a leading Belgian contractor specializing in marine construction and foundation works. They required a second submersible pump, matching the specifications of the existing unit, designed to be controlled via a frequency drive housed in a separate, mobile control cabinet.
The pumping solution had to be mobile and deployable across multiple projects. Additionally, it had to operate at a depth of approximately 60 meters, with a 60-meter cable connecting it to the surface control cabinet. The type of work our customer carries out demands robust pumping solutions. Deep dewatering requires equipment that can handle high pressure and tough site conditions.
Solution
Our standard MML200-3700-S4 submersible pump from the Minto Spyro range was similar to the existing pump but not rated for such depth. To meet the challenge, Vaikon engineered a complete custom solution:
Upgraded shaft sealing
Replaced the seal with a double mechanical seal rated for 10 bar(g), dimensionally identical but more pressure resistant.
Extended power cable
Installed a 60-meter cable (4G25) to connect the pump to the surface cabinet.
Custom electrical cabinet
Built a mobile, robust control cabinet with integrated frequency drive.
This approach ensured the pump could operate safely and efficiently at the required depth, while giving the customer full control over speed and performance.
Result
- A fully customized pumping system tailored to site requirements.
- Reliable operation up to 60-meter depth.
- Pump control unit designed to withstand the wear and tear of industrial sites.
- Improved process control through frequency regulation.
- Delivered on time, ready for demanding conditions.
